Government's meeting starts with honoring of flag

For the first time, the meeting of the Government on April 27 began with the honoring of the state flag. Prime Minister Vlad Filat voiced hope that next year the State Flag Day will be marked in a more organized way than this year, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Premier opened the meeting by saying that a mission of the International Monetary Fund came to Chisinau for the third review of Moldova's program with the IMF. In this connection, Vlad Filat said that Moldova ranked third among the European countries by the economic growth rate in 2010 (6.9%), stressing that this result should be maintained. After the review, the IMF is to disburse the third tranche of the US$575 million loan designed for the implementation of the program. The Prime Minister also informed that he and ministry officials discussed the plan of action for May 9, including the provision of 600 lei to the persons who took part in the Second World War and of 500 lei to the widows.
