Government will reward successful Olympic competitors

The Moldovan Government decided the amounts of the money prizes that will be awarded for the successes in the XXI Winter Olympic Games, Info-Prim Neo reports. A gold medal will be rewarded with 50,000 euros, a silver with 30,000 euros, and a bronze with 15,000 euros. The prizes for the fourth to sixth places will be 10,000 euros, 5,000 euros and 3,000 euros, respectively. Coaches will be rewarded as well. The money prizes will not be subject to taxation. The Moldovan Olympic delegation consists of 15 persons, including 7 athletes, 4 coaches, 3 team leaders and one head of mission. The Moldovan athletes will compete in biathlon, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing and luge.
