Government will provide Transnistrian residents with eyeglasses

The Government decided to initiate the second stage of the campaign designed to provide pensioners and disabled people with poor eyesight in Moldova, which will be also extended to the Transnistrian region. Premier Vasile Tarlev mentioned last week at the Government sitting that the extension of the programme designed to provide pensioners and disabled people in Transnistria with free eyeglasses will be a warm welcome of the citizens in the region and will contribute to the establishment of new methods of understanding the principles of unity as people and country. The Government has launched the initiative regarding the free provision of pensioners and invalids with eyeglasses in Moldova for 2006-2007, which, according to the Action Plan approved one year ago, is to be carried out until May 9.
