Government will get 70 mln lei from selling two hectares of land in Chisinau municipality

The Government will obtain 70 mln lei from selling two hectares of land in the municipality of Chisinau located on 17 Decebal Street. At Wednesday’s meeting, the Government decided to demolish an old building occupying this area and sell the plot to an investor. Minister of Economy and Trade Igor Dodon said that this price was offered by an investor at a public auction. According to the minister, no one offered yet such a good price for the municipal land. The money will be allocated to the Ministry of Finance to reconstruct the Hospital of Infectious Diseases in Vorniceni. The building will be demolished by the investor at a cost of about 2 mln lei. The Government decided that the demolition works should be carried out by the subdivisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs rather than by a private company.
