The Ministry of Finance will transfer over 15 million lei from the Government’s reserve fund to the Chisinau Municipal Council for implementing court decisions concerning the refunding of the value of confiscated property to successors who were subject to political repression. The draft decision was proposed for public debates and is to be approved by the executive, IPN reports.
A sum of 7.5 million lei was earmarked in the state budget for this year for paying compensations based on decisions taken by the special commissions of the local public authorities. As the allocated funds are insufficient, it was suggested allotting more money from the Government’s reserve fund and supplementing this later, when the 2018 state budget law is amended.
By the state budget law for 2018, the Government’s reserve fund was approved in the amount of 50 million lei.
