One of the Government's priorities will be to develop a new National Program to implement the Association Agreement with the European Union, covering the years 2017-2019. This and other priorities on Moldova's European agenda were discussed at a meeting today of the Governmental Commission on European Integration, headed by Prime Minister Pavel Filip, the Government's press service said in a communique.
The new Program will replace the current one, which expires at the end of the year. In this context, Andrei Galbur, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, noted that developing the 2017/19 Program would be a complex process involving consultation with civil society and other stakeholders, as well as with the technical team in order to improve the coordination and reporting mechanism.
Pavel Filip said the example of how work was done to implement the Priority Reforms Roadmap in the first half-year shows that hard work, maximal mobilization and effective cooperation between everyone involved can help accomplish ambitious objectives.
