Government to issue free visas for foreigners attending National Day of Wine

The Government will offer one-month visas free of charge for the foreigners who will participate in the National Day of Wine, which will take place on October 8. The Cabinet Council approved in its meeting on Wednesday, September 13, amendments to the Law of September 2003 on settling a facile visa regime, by means of which it decided to offer free 15-day visas before and after the National Day of Wine. In this way the free visas issuance term was doubled compared with last year, when this facility was available only 7 days before and after the holyday. The National Day of Wine is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of October. The first edition of the holyday was organized in 2002 and aims at promoting the image of Moldova, local wine production and developing tourism.
