Government to fund 8,700 places for university studies

In the 2023/24 academic year, the government will subsidize just over 8,700 places in public universities. This includes all levels – bachelor’s, master’s, clinical secondary and residency. Every fourth subsidized place will for educational sciences. The provisions are contained in a project approved by the Government.

According to the project, 2,079 subsidized places at bachelor’s and master’s degrees are granted for the field of education. Another 1,654 places will be allocated for engineering, manufacturing technologies, architecture and construction. For the field of information and communication technologies, 904 subsidized places will be allocated, for health - 937 (residency and secondary), etc.

The state order for the next academic year provides for the admission to undergraduate studies of 5307 students (in 26 general fields of study). 2,864 people will be admitted to the master's degree, and 427 people to residency and secondary clinical studies.

106 subsidized places will be allocated for foreign citizens, based on bilateral contracts signed by the Republic of Moldova with various countries. Priority will be given to citizens of Ukraine.
