The Government on Wednesday will issue orders to distribute allocations under the State Budget Law to cover the budget deficit needed for paying teachers’ salaries, announced the Ministry of Education and Research.
The Ministry said in a press release that previously it informed district councils and local education authorities that it was working together with the Ministry of Finance to find solutions for paying teachers’ salaries.
Earlier today, Com-Soc lawmaker Petru Burduja, deputy chair of Parliament’s Budget Commission, said that teachers in many parts of the country hadn’t received their salaries since August, with the amount due being over 69 million lei.
