The Moldovan Government is discussing with the World Bank on launching cooperation among institutions to improve the pension system. First deputy premier Igor Dodon and World Bank Country Manager Melanie Marlett have agreed to organize a conference with international and local experts on the topic of the practices in other countries in reforming the pensions system, to take place in Chisinau in June, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Igor Dodon, in order to identify the key elements in the pensions system, it is necessary to carry out ample researches to make all the pension system function, including by introducing new tools for Moldova, as the private pension funds.
“It is necessary to consider the world's practices in the pensions system, and to take over the most successful experiences and to develop a concept matching all needs of Moldova,” Igor Dodon said.
The meeting between Economy Minister Igor Dodon and Melanie Marlett took place on May 12.
