Government sets allowance for refugees at 330 lei

The allowance provided to refugees and persons who benefit from humanitarian protection will be 330 lei this year, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a Government decision. It represents 10% of the average monthly salary in the economy projected for next year, which is 3,300 lei. The allowance is paid during a period of at most six months, in accordance with the Asylum Law that meets the international standards. According to the Ministry of the Interior, nine persons who benefit from humanitarian protection asked for allowances in 2008, three in 2009, and six in 2010.
