Government sells stocks in four more companies

As the sixth round of privatization auctions kicked off on Wednesday, November 4, on the Moldova Stock Exchange, government-owned stocks in four companies were sold for a total 3.134 million lei, Info-Prim Neo reports. The government sold its stocks in the following companies: Servistransexpres, specializing in transportation services; Orginterconstructia, dealing in constructions; Cristivlad, a film producing company; and the transport firm “Baza transportului auto nr. 35 din Sangerei". There are a total of 54 lots in 50 companies put up for auction. Of these, 18 represent control stocks, that is more than 50 percent of stock in the respective companies. Among them are several tobacco processing companies and drugstores, but perhaps the most attractive ones are the shopping center UNIC (85.4 percent of stock), the carpet maker Floare-Carpet (59.4 percent of stock) and an undividable lot consisting of 80 percent of stock of Ipteh and 97.98 percent of stock of Imtehcom (once a designing institute located next to UNIC). Outcry auction events as part of this sixth round will continue trough November 7.
