An employers association, a legal organization form for employers, can consist of at least three legal entities and/or private individuals. A relevant amendment to the Employers Law was approved by the Government, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The modification was suggested by experts of the International Labor Office after they examined the national reports on the implementation of the conventions of the International Labor Organization ratified Moldova.
The experts said the norm according to which an employers association can be created by at least ten legal entities and/or private individuals is exaggerated and can hinder the foundation of associations. They recommended modifying this norm.
The Government also added a provision concerning the work of employers organizations’ local offices to the Employers Law, allowing the local offices that do not have a legal status to work on the basis of the status of the employers organization of which they are part.
