The administering companies that obtained the title of industrial parks will not be able to register as resident companies and to hold shares in the registered capital of the residents of a certain park, IPN reports, quoting a Government’s bill with amendments to the Law on Industrial Parks.

“The main task of these companies is to administer the industrial park and to provide services to the park residents,” said Deputy Minister of Economy Octavian Calmac.

The bill specifies that the companies that can obtain the title of industrial park include the state (municipal) companies, the societies with public, state (municipal) public-private capital and the commercial societies with complete or majority state capital.

In order to ensure the better management of the parks and to determine the effectiveness of the concessions granted to the residents, the administering companies will be obliged to present reports on the activity of the parks to the Ministry of Economy every quarter.

Octavian Calmac said the changes were discussed with the central and local public authorities of the settlements where there are industrial parks and with business organizations, including the Association of Foreign Investors, the Moldovan-Belgian, Moldovan-Italian, and Moldovan-American Cambers of Trade.
