The Government of Romania will offer assistance to Moldova for continuing the reformation and modernization of the defense sector. A cooperation plan for 2018 was signed by the defense ministers of the two states, IPN reports.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova, this year the Moldovan-Romanian cooperation in the defense sector will center on the intensification of the training with the participation of service members of both of the armies, increase in the number of scholarships for officers and subofficers of the National Army in relevant institutions in Romania, expertise in implementing education development programs supported by NATO.
The bilateral cooperation plan between the Ministry of Defense of Romania and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova for 2018 was signed in the meeting of the joint Moldovan-Romanian commission on defense that was held in Bucharest during April 25-26.
