A center of excellence and 11 vocational schools of Moldova will be outfitted with modern equipment, donated by the Government of Japan. The donation is worth about US$100,000, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Education, the Japanese equipment is modern and ensures precision and high control over the quality of work. This will be installed in workshops and labs of the Chisinau Center of Excellence in Transport and 11 vocational schools. This way, the training conditions will be modernized, in accordance with the market requirements.

It should be noted that the equipment used now in vocational schools is mainly outdated. That’s why the Ministry of Education develops such partnerships and initiatives in a move to improve the quality of training.

The grant agreement between the Government of Moldova and the Government of Japan was signed in April 2015 and ratified in October the same year. Its total value is about US$800,000.

In Moldova, there are 11 centers of excellence, 32 colleges and 43 vocational schools.
