Government looking for investors for exhibitions center “Moldova” in Moscow

The executive constituted a contest commission to select the investor that will create the Exhibitions and Trade Center “Moldova” in Russia and approved the regulations concerning the organization of the contest, Info-Prim Neo reports. The commission will be headed by Deputy Minister of Economy Octavian Calmac. Pavilion No. 10 of the Exhibitions Center in Moscow is to be repaired. It is 2,693 meters in area and was leased out to Moldova for a period of 50 years at a symbolic rent. The investments are estimated at US$20 million. The contest is open to private individuals and legal entities from Moldova and abroad with fully private capital, stateless persons and associations of such persons. The participants in the contest must have a bank guarantee for at least US$10 million. This sum can be used to repair the pavilion. The participation tax is US$50,000. The winner of the investment contest will fully reconstruct the pavilion, will set up the Exhibitions and Trade Center “Moldova” on its territory and will ensure its functionality. The private partner will have the right to perform exhibitions and commercial activities, to organize cultural events and to open restaurants and cafes with traditional Moldovan food there. The investor will also allow using a part of the pavilion for staging permanent exhibitions of Moldovan products.
