The restrictions on the export of food wheat imposed by a Government Decision this February have been lifted. Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov said that the country now has sufficient reserves of food wheat, Info-Prim Neo reports.
There are 87,000 tonnes of food wheat in stores. About 8,000 tonnes of wheat more are needed until the new harvest, but wheat is being imported from Ukraine, said the minister.
“We are making everything possible for the wheat growers to be able to sell their products at high prices,” said Vasile Bumacov, adding that the grain harvest is projected to be good.
