An MP and two experts consider the Government had to assume responsibility for the main laws of the country because it is a minority one. Such statements were made in the talk show “Place for dialog” on Radio Moldova station, IPN reports.
Liberal-Democratic MP Oleg Balan said the lawmakers will support the initiative of Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici. “The MPs had time and studied these bills. I see nothing serious in this. The adoption of the budget law was delayed too much already. We cannot wait especially because the agricultural season is in full swing,” he stated.
Economic expert Viorel Garbu considers the Government is now in a difficult and risky situation. “The main argument for assuming responsibility is that there is no time left for the budget law to be examined in Parliament. On the other hand, the documents were drafted swiftly and were harshly criticized by civil society, trade unions, employers and others,” he said.
Anatol Taranu, director of the Center for Political Research and Consultancy “Politicon”, said such a situation was predictable at a time when the Government is a minority one. “It’s true that a lot of time was lost. It’s something typical for the minority governments. The Gaburici Government borrowed an established method of other democracies. However, the assumption of responsibility should not become a habit,” he stated.
The Government headed by Chiril Gaburici on April 8 assumed responsibility for the budgetary-fiscal policy, the state budget law, the social insurance budget law and the health insurance funds law for 2015.
