Government gives wheat from state reserve to bakeries

The Government will allocate 15,000 tonnes of wheat from the state reserve to bread-making companies to prevent price rises. The wheat will be lent and is to be returned by September 1, 2011, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Valeriu Cosarciuc said that in order to receive wheat, the companies must give a guarantee that they will return the wheat by September 1 and prove they do not have debts to the Agency for Material Reserves, Public Acquisitions and Humanitarian Aid. Valeriu Cosarciuc explained the move is aimed at maintaining the prices of bakery products.
