The Cabinet has formally resigned today, following the procedure prescribed after a new parliament is elected. Until a new Cabinet is appointed, the outgoing one will serve as caretaker to ensure the administration of public affairs.

Acting Prime Minister Iurie Leanca thanked his colleagues for their work. “We managed to sign and start the implementation of the AA/DCFTA, to see how the European market has opened up to the Moldovan goods and how greater investment has come in, and that's only the start”.

“Kindergartens, roads and water supply systems were constructed. Good things were done for the culture, too, in particular for the theaters. If it weren't for this atmosphere of cooperation, I think we wouldn't have managed to focus on the people's problems”, he added.

“Of course, there is still homework to be done, and continuity will be the key principle that should guide the next Cabinet when on the good and solid foundation that we have built together it continues to erect the walls and place the roof of a strong, European and, let me emphasize, clean Moldova”, concluded Iurie Leanca.
