The Cabinet on October 28 approved a number of draft presidential decrees to name 11 candidates as ambassadors. Thus, Ruslan Bolbocean was nominated as Moldova’s Ambassador to Ukraine, while Dumitru Braghis as Ambassador to Russia, IPN reports.
Also, Corina Calugaru is to serve as Moldova’s Ambassador to the Council of Europe.
The other candidates are: Veaceslav Dobanda, for ambassador to Sweden; Lilian Moraru, for ambassador to France; Gabriela Moraru, for ambassador to Israel; Mihai Gribincea, for ambassador to Romania; Valeriu Frilja, for ambassador to Lithuania; Oleg Serebrian, for ambassador to Germany; Aurel Ciocoi, for ambassador to China, and Eugen Reveno, for ambassador to Latvia. These will be confirmed to posts when the head of state signs the given decrees.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman said all the candidates were approved of by the parliamentary commission on foreign policy and European integration and by the authorities of the countries where they will represent Moldova.
