The Moldovan Government said it created conditions for external trade activities for the economic entities registered in the Transnistrian region.
According to Minister of Reintegration Vasile Sova, the Government held bilateral and multilateral consultations on a regular basis, including with the enterprisers operating on the left bank of the Nistru River. Following consultations, the Government adopted a number of decisions concerning the creation of favourable conditions for external trade, equal access to trade facilities granted to all Moldovan economic entities, including to the Transnistrian enterprises that hold permanent or provisional registration with the State Registration Chamber.
The amendments brought this week to the legislation in operation stipulate that the Transnistrian economic agents willing to practice export activities, shall ask the Customs Service for authorisation. This means that applications for preferential certificates will be made on a voluntary basis, and not by compulsion.
The minister of Reintegration told reporters that the Government sticks firm to its commitment to spare the Transnistrian businessmen from taxation.
