Vasile Tarlev criticised the activity of the State Agency for Land Relations and Cadastre (SDIC), which, the Prime Minister says, does not take actions to ban unauthorised constructions on agricultural plots of land, Info-Prim Neo reports. Recently, the Prime Minister stated that it is categorically interdicted to start construction works on the parcels which still have the status of agricultural land. “We must keep the land as our biggest treasure”, the Premier said. Vasile Tarlev also reprimanded SDIC for having registered in 2007 about 30,000 agricultural plots of land, but no land owner received land ownership titles. Although the central SDIC division honours the great majority of its obligations, the population is inadequately served by the structure’s territorial offices, the Premier said. “Their malfeasances harm the image of the Government”, Tarlev says. According to the activity report for 2007, SDIC spent about 102.7 million lei. Of them, 27 million were spend on land protection works in the region of Cahul-Giurgiulesti railway, and 5.2 million lei for state frontier demarcation activities. Last year, 190,700 errors made in the Land Programme were corrected, 200,000 dwellings were registered in the cadastral system, 28,700 commercial and industrial real estate, over 45,500 garages and 43.7 plots of land belonging to agricultural associations were evaluated, Info-Prim Neo reports, with reference to official data.
