The Government is building a European Moldova with the support of all the citizens and counts on the active involvement of the diaspora in this process. Prime Minister Dorin Recean raised the issue in a meeting in New York with a group of Moldovans who settled in the U.S. The official stressed that the desired changes can be achieved only together, IPN reports.

Premier Recean noted the successes achieved by Moldovan citizens who are thousands of kilometers away from home. “You are the true ambassadors of the Republic of Moldova and we bank on your involvement in promoting our country and the investment opportunities we offer,” stated the official.

During his visit to New York, where he took part in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Dorin Recean also had a discussion with UN Secretary-General António Guterres. The Moldovan official underlined the support that the UN provides to the Government of the Republic of Moldova both in the process of joining the European Union and in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. “When we are united, we are stronger, and this is reflected in the many projects we implement together, whether it goes to the modernization of infrastructure and improvement of living conditions for people, or the management of the refugee crisis caused by Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine,” said Premier Recean.
