The Government decided to create the Prime Minister’s Economic Council. According to the approved regulation, the Economic Council will facilitate the dialogue between the business community, the academic environment and policy makers in order to develop a nondiscriminatory, transparent business background favorable for investments, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Prime Minister’s Economic Council will work during the Government’s mandate and will offer expertise in developing sustainable policies in the economic, budgetary or fiscal spheres. It will also monitor the impact of implemented public policies in these areas.
The members of the Council will be appointed by the Prime Minister. They will be renowned persons from the entrepreneurial environment, delegated by business and employers’ associations. The Council will have a permanent bureau and the State Chancellery will provide its secretariat.
The intention to create this Council was announced by Prime Minister Vlad Filat in his address to the nation in early July.
