Government approves bill allowing restoring electoral blocs

The Government approved amendments to the Electoral Code, restoring the electoral blocs, Info-Prim Neo reports. It also adopted special regulations concerning the voting process abroad, allowing setting up additional polling places at embassies and other places, depending on the necessities that will be estimated preliminarily by the executive. Under the amendments, the electoral rolls will be complied on the basis of the State Register of Voters and this will be the responsibility of the Central Election Commission. The bill with amendments also refers to the place of the electoral contenders in ballots, the role and rights of the election observers, the method of examining challenges, the responsibility for violations committed in the electoral campaigns and other aspects.
