The program of activities for reunifying the country for 2014, which was approved by the executive on May 28, includes 54 projects selected at a contest out of 120 project proposals submitted by local and central public authorities, IPN reports.
Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Carpov said the selected projects are aimed at modernizing the education institutions, repairing and equipping social-cultural facilities, reconstructing road portions and water pipes, improving illumination systems, etc. These projects will contribute to building confidence between the two banks of the Nistru River.
A sum of 15 million lei was earmarked in the state budget for carrying out the activities for reunifying the country. The money for implementing the selected projects will be allocated by the Ministry of Finance in two tranches, based on confirmative documents presented by beneficiaries.
