Government approved the regulation on digital signature

The government approved on Tuesday, 7 March, the Regulation on digital signature.
The regulation includes the general conditions of applying the digital signature in electronic documents of the public authorities, the certification order of public keys, obligations and rights of the person who puts the digital signature, the security requirements etc.
In the opinion of the authors of the document, approval of the regulation will represent an important stage in the process of creating and ensuring the activity of the system „Electronic Government”, being creates favourable conditions for implementation of the secured electronic exchange of documents, reducing the time necessary to make and coordinate the documents and to increase the control over their execution.
The academy of public administration by the president of Moldova together with the Special Telecommunications centre of the Information and Security Service will organise trainings for employees of public authorities regarding the digital signature.
The goal of the project "Management of electronic governance" is to strengthen the democratic practices in Moldova. The project supports the government in promoting the use of Informational and Communication Technologies in governmental processes and services, facilitating the access to public resources of information la and improving the quality of public services.
Electronic governance will be implemented step-by-step becoming functional with all e-Europe services only in few years.
