Government allocates money for natural disaster cleanup

The Ministry of Finance will allocate over 2.320 million lei from the Government’s intervention fund to the public authorities for alleviating the consequences of natural disasters. A Government decision to this effect was published in the July 20 issue of the Official Gazette, IPN reports.

The money will be distributed to the Ministry of the Interior, including the General Inspectorate for Emergencies and the Carabineer Troops Department (over 318,000 lei), the Chisinau Municipal Council, the cleanup company “Autosalubritate” and the road maintenance company “Exdrupo” (about 60,000 lei), the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research  (1.91m) and the local council of Varatic village of Rascani district, where the house of a woman was destroyed by fire (200,000 lei).

Money will also be allocated for covering the costs incurred by the municipality of Balti for cleaning up on December 28-30, 2017 and for dealing with the heavy snowfalls of January 17-19, 2018.

The Material Reserves Agency will get 1.598 million lei from the Government’s intervention fund for the supplies released from the state material reserves. The Agency will release roof slates, building glass, lumber and other materials that will be distributed to the Soldanesti District Council, including Cobilea village, and to the Floresti District Council, including Cunicea village.
