Government allocates 20m lei from reserve fund for renovating Parliament and Presidential Office

The Government decided to allocate 20 million lei from the reserve fund for reconstructing the Parliament and the Presidential Office. About 130 million lei has been allotted for repair works so far. This sum represents donations from the national carrier Moldtelecom (100 million lei) and Banca de Economii of Moldova (30 million lei), Minister of Construction and Regional Development Marcel Raducan announced at Wednesday's meeting of the executive, Info-Prim Neo reports. Some of the local public authorities also allocated financial resources, the minister said. The money allotted from the Government's reserve fund will be distributed to the State Chancellery (9.2 million lei) and the Ministry of Construction and Regional Development (10.8 million lei), which coordinate the repair works. Initially, the construction companies that carry out the works asked over 80 million lei for the provided services. But, as a result of an analysis, it was decided that 20 million lei will be enough, Marcel Raducan said, adding that the works are projected to be completed in spring.
