Government allocates 14.5m lei to deal with consequences of natural disasters

The Government decided to allocate 14.5 million lei from its intervention fund for alleviating the consequences of natural disasters, IPN reports.

Of this sum, 4 million lei will go to reconstruct the bridge in Trinca village of Edinet district, which was destroyed by the torrential rain of the summer of 2014. Over 500,000 lei will be transferred to Leova district for restoring 1 km of road and the bridge in Cociulia Noua village. Floresti district will get 225,000 lei in compensation for the losses sustained as a result of last summer’s territorial rain.

A sum of 40,000 lei will be allocated to Soroca district for purchasing a home for a family from Schineni village that remained without a shelter as a result of a fire. A similar amount will go to repair the kindergarten in Radenii Vechi village, whose roof was destroyed by high winds.

Also, over 9 million lei will be allotted to the Agency for Material Reserves, over 615,000 lei to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, while 77,000 lei to the State Road Administration for covering the costs associated with the emergency interventions of these institutions.
