The executive is examining attentively European institutions’ positions as regards the recent political developments in Moldova and is to clarify the problems that aroused the concerns of the country’s strategic partners. The move comes in the wake of the reactions of a number of European officials, who said that the negotiations with the EU on the Association Agreement are in danger following the adoption of a number of laws that run counter to the rule of law norms, according to them, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the executive, the recommendations made by the European institutions will be analyzed with a view to ensuring the real separation and balance of powers in the state.

The Government’s Communication and PR Office informed that the readiness to continue the cooperation with the EU and the Venice Commission was reiterated in the discussions of the executive’s representatives and officials of the European Union and the Council of Europe. The cooperation is aimed at developing an independent institutional and judicial system that would guarantee the sustainability of the reformation process deriving from the country’s European integration objective.
