The executive Wednesday approved two draft presidential decrees on the appointment of two ambassadors, IPN reports.
Andrei Popov may be named at Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria. He is a diplomat by profession and holds the post of deputy minister of foreign affairs and European integration, but will be dismissed from it under another draft decree approved.
By another decree, Anatol Vangheli will be appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Israel. He has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration since 1996. His last post was that of charge d’affaires at the embassy.
Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said the professionalization of the diplomatic service will be continued by the appointment of the two persons.
