Gustar ethno music festival will take place between August 23 and 25 in the Orheiul Vechi Reservation. The event will gather over 100 painters, artisans, singers and instrumentalists from Moldova and abroad. The organizers expect over 20,000 visitors at this year's edition, IPN reports.
One of the organizers, Valeriu Postica, told a press conference that this year will see new faces take the stage, such as Goran Bregovic, Estas Tonne, Milk&Sugar, Cristina Kiseleff, El Saffron, Talya Solan and Adriana Rusu.
“This year parking will be free and secure. Those who attend the festival will eat traditional dishes, prepared by local agripensions and several restaurants from Chisinau. Tickets cost 60 lei for a day and 100 lei for 3 days. The price includes a free camping spot and tours of the local tourist attractions. Transport within the fest area is free”, said Postica.
Gustar visitors can also attend the Bat Night, an event that resumes after a 16 year old pause in Moldova. Its organizers promote the preservation of endangered bat species. Those who attend the event will visit caves to see the bats and will watch them in the night sky with a special lantern.
Another attraction will be an exhibition of iron sculptures of animals. The author of the exhibition Alexandr Coicev, a graduate of the Technical University of Moldova and the only one in the country who creates such sculptures.
he official opening of the festival organized by Sens Music in partnership with the Orheiul Vechi Reservation is scheduled for August 23 at 2 PM. Access is allowed from 9 AM. Tickets can be bought online at www.gustar.md and www.iticket.md, as well as in Starnet offices in Chisinau.
