Good implementation of reforms discussed with European advisers

Some authorities have reduced capacities for reformation and meeting of European standards in their work, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said in a meeting with the high-level advisers delegated by the European Commission to assist the Moldovan authorities. The Premier told them that he counts on their support in strengthening the institutional capacities and in ensuring the good implementation of the launched reforms, IPN reports.

Attending the meeting, the Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Pirkka Tapiola encouraged the Government to continue to actively implement reforms, underlining that the results are already visible both at internal level and in the relationship with the EU, which developed considerably lately. The official reiterated the support for implementing the measures needed for developing the country, noting that the high-level experts have namely this mission.

The European experts formulated a series of proposals for stabilizing the situation in different sectors in the short and long runs. The experts appreciated the Government’s and public servants’ readiness to cooperate and to learn from the good European practices.

Through the agency of the project “European Union Public Policy Counseling Mission for the Republic of Moldova”, 26 high-level advisers were delegated to help the public institutions implement the reform agenda. The Prime Minister is counseled by five European experts in the public administration reform, the reform of the financial-banking sector, anticorruption, justice, communication and transparency.
