The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” has officially kicked off its campaign prior to the snap parliamentary elections of July 11 with the slogan “Good deeds bring us together”. Initially, members and sympathizers of the party played the national anthem and rendered honors to the national flag, IPN reports.

The leader of the PPPDA Andrei Năstase said a vote for the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” is the good deed needed now by Moldova from each citizen. “A vote for justice till the end, for a better life, for honor, dignity and integrity,” he stated, calling on the young people who will vote for the first time, the older persons, the intellectuals, the people of culture, health workers and others to mobilize. According to the politician, internal polls show the PPPDA will enter Parliament and will hold more seats of MP than at present. Their major objective is to guarantee a strong parliamentary majority and a pro-European and pro-Romanian government.

According to the party’s vice president Dinu Plîngău, the upcoming snap parliamentary elevations are crucial for the Republic of Moldova, which should remain on the path of integration into the EU, while the PPPDA is the only party that can ensure this. In the future Parliament, the PPPDA will play a decisive role in creating a pro-European, national, reformist and really democratic majority.

PPPDA vice president Alexandr Slusari said their party will initiate a national program to save the villages and in four years all the rural settlements will enjoy gas and water supply systems, street lighting and modern waste collection systems. It will implement a complex strategy for developing agriculture and food industry based on the FIP system (financing, irrigation and processing). The party commits itself to treble the agriculture subsidization fund, to improve the irrigation systems and to ensure small-scale industrialization.

Stela Macari, deputy head of the PPPDA women’s organization, noted that the team will continue to do good things and has great plans for the people. Those from the PPPDA will work to ensure decent living conditions for the elderly and to stop the demographic decline, will be near the persons with disabilities by real and inclusive policies and near the veterans so as to ensure decent living conditions for them.
