The Party of Regions of Moldova, which is an election contestant running in the parliamentary elections of February 24 in the national constituency under No. 10, is a pro-Russian party. The Party of Regions always protected the rights of the Moldovans and continues doing so, the party’s leader Alexandr Kalinin stated in a news conference at IPN.
“Dear friends, the Party of Regions is indeed a pro-Russian party. We will work to restore the bilateral relations both with the Russian Federation and with the Eurasian Union,” stated Alexandr Kalinin. According to him, the party will make considerable effort for the Moldovans to be able to work in better conditions all over the Eurasian Union, not only on Russia’s territory.
The party’s leader also said that as the president of the Congress of the Moldovan Diaspora in Russia, he contributed to designing and implementing the concept of migration amnesty that applies to Moldovans in Russia and not only to this.
In another development, Alexandr Kalinin called on President Igor Dodon to provide evidence to support his assertions that he was featured in a number of criminal cases in Russia. He gave time to President Dodon until February 11 or he will name him a lying President.
The president of the Party of Regions of Moldova also said that on February 7 they won a lawsuit filed by the Party of Socialists, which complained that the electoral symbol of the Party of Regions is a copy of the PSRM’s symbol. “Mister President, I want to tell you that this is only the beginning. In continuation, you will only lose and we will only win,” stated Alexandr Kalinin.
