Girl strangled, raped by fellow villager

A 15-year-old girl from Balaban village, Taraclia, has been killed then raped by a fellow villager. The tragedy happened in the cemetery of the village where the corpse was found later, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Interior Ministry. According to the police, the teenager was strangled and then violated by a 20-year-old man, allegedly a fellow villager of the victim. The probe shows the man saw the girl and propositioned her, but, being turned down, the suspect forcibly took her into the cemetery, beat her up, strangled her with her shoe laces, and seeing she made no resistance undressed and raped her. “Satisfied with the result, the suspect wiped the blood from the corpse hid it in a valley, covering the corpse with grass,” the police writes. If found guilty, the man may get sentenced for up to 25 years or life.
