Two sisters aged 13 and 14 from Cristesti village of Nisporeni district poisoned themselves after inhaling fumes from a faulty stove. One of them was hospitalized, while the other one died. The girls were found in the house by a relative, IPN has learned from the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service.
Another five persons from Straseni town, including a child aged one, were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning. An investigation is under way. One of the examined causes is the incorrect use of a heating installation.
The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service calls on the people to be cautious and to obey the stove using rules. At the beginning of the cold season, the stoves and chimneys must be checked for cracks and cleaned. The faulty installations can endanger people’s health and even lives.
