Gifts from Germany for Moldovan children and elderly

6,000 Christmas gifts will reach the Moldovan poor groups. The parcels are offered by the association “Johanniter Unfall-Hilfe EV” and by the broadcaster Antenne Bayern from Munich. The value of the donation is half a million euros, Info-Prim Neo reports.
A representative of the German embassy to Moldova, Julia Krummenauer, says such charity actions pursue to strengthen society in holidays when all need not to be forgotten.
“The donations will go to boarding schools, orphanages, elderly shelters, associations of deaf and blind, disabled and vulnerable families, etc. According to the concept of this charity project parcels will also be given to Moldovan military, to veterans of the Afghanistan war, to children of the military dead in the Nistru conflict, to widows and children of veterans,” reads a release by the Defense Ministry. According to minister Vitalie Vrabie, the humanitarian consignment will be distributed till the New Year's night.
Moldova benefits from such donations for the second year in a row.
