Acting Minister of the Environment Gheorghe Salaru refuted Mihai Ghimpu’s statements that he withdrew from the Council for Reforming the Liberal Party. The official, who is on a trip, made statements over the phone, in a news conference held by the MPs who have the majority in the Liberal faction, IPN reports.
The reforming lawmakers said that they are blackmailed by the Liberal Party head Mihai Ghimpu into renouncing the idea of reforming the party.
In a news conference on April 19, Mihai Ghimpu said that both Gheorghe Salaru and acting Deputy Minister of Education Tatiana Potang assured him that they gave up the idea of reforming the party and want to return.
