Gheorghe Mustea’s music to be played in public transport in Chisinau

Conductor and composer Gheorghe Mustea will celebrate his 60th birthday by an exceptional concert at the National Palace on May 6. Lucia Culev, head of the Chisinau Municipal Council’s Culture Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the jubilee concert will involve friends and colleagues of the artist, including Romanian singer Fuego, conductor Nicolae Botgros, and singer Catalin Josan.
Lucia Culev said that songs written by the composer and sung by Anastasia Lazariuc, Ion Suruceanu, Alexandru Lozanciuc, Iurie Sadovnic and others will be played in the public units of transport from May 1, when Gheorghe Mustea turns 60.
Next month, there will be also played music written by singer Stefan Petrache and the late Petre Teodorovici, who were also born in May.
Gheorghe Mustea was born in Mandresti village in 1951. The composer writes symphonic, opera, chamber, vocal music as well as music for movies and theater. In 1990, he was awarded the State Prize for the historical opera “A. Lapusneanu”. Gheorghe Mustea is the conductor and artistic director of the National Symphonic Orchestra of Teleradio-Moldova Company.
