The president of the Party “Building Europe Home (PACE) Gheorghe Cavcaliuc chose to vote in Italy, alongside his mother and children. He said he voted for a strong team that will create tens of thousands of jobs so that the Moldovans stay at home, IPN reports.
Gheorghe Cavcaliuc said he decided to vote in Italy because the largest number of the Moldovans abroad work in this country. “I voted for things to be brought in order in the country, for changes and for a team of professionals who would work for the people,” said the PACE president.
His mother noted that she has worked in Italy for over 20 years. “I want things in the country to be improved so that everyone works at home and contributes to the country’s development. We vote for a party that can work,” said the woman.
For today’s elections, the CEC registered 23 election contenders: 20 political parties, two electoral blocs and an independent candidate. The voters are expected to cast their ballots in 2,150 polling stations, 41 of which are situated on the left side of the Nistru, while 150 are outside the country.
