Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan discussed issues related to the management of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border with the Head of the EU Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) Tesoriere Andrew in a meeting, IPN reports.
According to a press release of the Reintegration Office, the two officials discussed the ensuring of control on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border and regulation and facilitation of the movement of people, goods and services on the central (Transnistrian) segment of the border between Moldova and Ukraine.
The officials underlined the necessity of promoting broad campaigns to inform the residents and business entities of Transnistria about the benefits of setting up a common checkpoint on the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border - Pervomaisk-Cuchurgan.
