Germany is willing to share its experience in order to contribute to implementing European standards in Chisinau, the newly appoined ambassador of Germany to Moldova, Nikolaus von der Wenge Graf Lambsdorff said during a meeting with Chisinau General Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca. The new administration of Chisinau pleads for intensifying the cooperation relations with the local authorities of Germany and for using the experience of Germany in developing the infrastructure, transport and public services. The German Ambassador proposed to hold a series of events in Chisinau on October 3, when Germany celebrates its National Day, in order to promote the German culture. Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca emphasised the interest of the municipal authorities in the development of bilateral relations with the German cities. In this respect, he mentioned that a priority of his activity will be to re-establish the relations between Mannheim and Chisinau so as to revive the town twining agreement signed in 1989. During the meeting, it was agreed that the local authorities of Chisinau will present a list of priorities for which the assistance from Germany would be welcome.
