German specialists to train Moldovan craftsmen

Preparing young craftsmen according to the market's needs should match companies' real needs. The opinion belong to German specialists to join soon a new project launched in Moldova by the Koblenz Chamber of Trade Crafts, Germany, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from a communique of the project team.
The project aims at professionally training experienced craftsmen. “Without qualified labor we get less commissions and, at the same time, we have a low economic growth,” said Thomas Wilbert, the project manager.
2 workshops will be crated for 5 trades, as: baker, confectioner, house painter, varnisher. “The projects aims by its results to support the Moldovan Government in reforming the vocational training,” Thomas Wilbert says.
The Koblenz craftsmen Chamber and the Moldovan Trade and Industry Chamber will first make a survey on over 100 companies to ask what kind of specialists they need.
The main partners of the Koblenz Chamber are the Moldovan Trade and Industry Chamber, Vocational Lyceum no.1 specialized in cooking occupations and Vocational School no.9, training qualified workers for metallurgy and constructions. The memo with school 9 is to be signed on June 12, at 11 a.m.
The project has been developed in accordance with the Moldovan Government's Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper. It is carried out in cooperation with Germany GTZ bureau and financed by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is to last 26 months.
