Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Maria Flachsbarth is paying a visit to Moldova during August 2-3, IPN reports.
According to the Embassy of Germany, besides vesting the projects that are implemented in Moldova with the support of Germany, the official will also have a discussion with representatives of the Government and meetings with the opposition and civil society that will center on the current political evolutions in the context of the mayoral elections held in Chisinau.
Maria Flachsbarth will visit an enterprise that provides places for dual education within a project implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the social center “Johannes Paul II” (kindergarten, educational center) and “House of Providence” (social eatery and care institution for elderly people).
The official will also hand over diplomas for social infrastructure projects to the value of €1.6 million provided from the money of German taxpayers to 18 mayors as a result of a contest held by the Moldova Social Investment Fund.
