The German Film Days will take place in Chisinau during December 9-11. The program of the seventh edition of the German Film Days includes two films for children, a comedy and a thriller. The event is organized by the German Cultural Center Akzente with the support of the Embassy of Germany in Chisinau and the Goethe Institute in Bucharest, IPN reports.
The inaugural event starts on December 9 at 6pm with the film “Cross Road” by Dietrich Brüggemann. This is about a 14-year-old girl Maria, who lives in two worlds. She is a teen with typical interests. On the other hand, she and her family follow the teachings of the brotherhood Pius XII and share the traditionalist interpretation of Catholicism of this. Anything that Maria believes or does should be tested before God. Maria desperately tries to please everyone and becomes very pressed.
The films will be shown at the Odeon Cinema. Entrance is free of charge. The films will be subtitled in Romanian or Russian. More details about the program of the German Film Days can be found on the website of the Center Akzente.
