Germany’s Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz is expected to arrive in Moldova today. In this context, a number of streets in Chisinau will be temporarily closed to traffic.
The General Police Inspectorate says traffic restrictions will be in place on Dacia Boulevard, Ciuflea Street, Ștefan cel Mare Boulevard, Bănulescu-Bodoni Street, Bucuresti Street, Puskin Street, and the streets Veronica Micle and August 31, 1989.
President Maia Sandu will welcome Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the Presidential Palace at 5:05 PM, and sixty-five minutes later the two leaders are expected to hold a press conference.
Olaf Scholz visited Moldova last year on June 1, when he attended the European Political Community Summit among other European leaders.
The last visit by a German chancellor to Moldova on a bilateral level took place 12 years ago.
